GOA-GOAN HOLI
Hi again,
Here in India we are ready to celebrate one of the very important festivals, the festival of color HOLI welcoming spring after the winter season.
The festival of HOLI is better known as Shigmo in Goa & is celebrated with same enthusiasm with traditional dances on the beats of drums. In Goa the Shigmostav is celebrated for 5 days that starts with the NAMAN a prayer of village god by masses. The Jatras held for these 5 days in the temples & devotes from local areas visit in large number. The climax is reached with the palkhis of god & the festivities end with Rang Panchmi during which the devotees throw red color on each other which is known as Gulal.
So guys have fun & enjoy the colors of Holi.
Bye
