GOA-THE YEAR GONE BY 2008

Hi once again
greetings to you all from Goa.

in the year gone by Goa s famous characteristics sun,sand & sea were replaced by scams ,scandals & terror.and this change took heavy toll on Goa's tourism dependent economy,the foreign tourist count till Dec end was dropped by almost 18 %.

the infamous scams & scandals in the beginning of the year set tone for the time to come & finally the fear of terror washed away the party mood.all this resulted in subdued new year celebrations.we are not very sure of future to come in new year looking at the global recession.indeed this will be the testing time for the Goans.

i am not sure what the Govt is planning to do but at least every Goan should try to learn from the previous mistakes & move forward with positive frame of mind.
