SACHIN TENDULKAR -THE GOD

Hi everyone

Today our Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar has completed 20 memorable years in international cricket.

In the heart of we Indians he is still the same old Tendlya fondly known in his group of school friends.

For us what he is today great Indian icon,true sport ambassador,a role model,greatest ever batsman in world cricket and above all he is a god.

See what Mathew Hayden says "I have seen god.He bats at no 4 for India".This sums up all for the team Australia & nightmares with Sachin.

I am great fan of Gavaskar,Richards,Kapil,Imran,Vengsarkar,Gillchrist,Bret Lee,McGrath,Hadlee & so on.But our affection for Sachin is really different.Everyone of us feels close to him.

to me what makes him different from the other legends is his simplicity in life.he values the true maharashtrian family ethics,gives respect to his sir,mother & elder brother,does charity but not interested in publicity...........then do you still think he is a normal human being.....no not at all to me he is the GOD.And I have seen the GOD.

We all wish him very prosperous,happy,healthy future & many more cricketing years.We always cherish his batting.

CIVIC SENSE- THE NATION BUILDER

We the human beings are the social animals. And the society expects each one of us to have some sense of respect for the needs of society. To me this sense of respect for society needs is Civic Sense. When you have more population with greater civic sense in the society you have great nation & bright future always.

Now let us see the few basic actions which elaborates the Civic Sense or society needs
1. Respect the laws of the land.
2. Keep your surroundings neat & clean.
3. Respect the queue.
4. Respect the elders & women.
5. Discourage the anti social activities like dowry & corruption ….
6. Be your own morale police.
7. Respect handicapped friends.
8. Respect the value of time.

This list could go on & on but I think you can understand what I mean. Since I am from India I know we have to go a long way in this direction. And one should always try to improve. I firmly believe that every thing starts from you.

Some of my personal observations regarding the Civic Sense are listed below
· Civic Sense can be taught at early stage of a child.
· It differs from cultures to cultures & communities to communities.
· Self discipline & civic sense go hand in hand.
· Education & civic sense has no direct relationship.
· You will enjoy more where you find such societies.
· In India I will rate Goa as a number 1 in civic sense & Pune as a last .

Now I hope you will agree with me to have more civic sense if you want to live in prosperous & healthy society & a great nation. Some of the simple actions each one of us can take are
Start from self.
Be a role model to your children.
Be upright to fight anti social elements.
Respect elders, women & handicapped friends.
Follow queue even if you don’t like.

So let us start without wasting any more time.

INDIAN GYAN-POWER OF TRUTH

The word truth is very powerful in its own. I am not sure how much importance does it carry in your life as it differs from individual to individual.
Let me start with basics..

What do you think is truth? In simple words truth is something that is not lie or it is a reality that we want to hide or run away from for the various reasons.

Secondly how much you value for truth?

I know the answer to the above question is subjective & also debatable.Let us debate this a bit longer as in the end of this debate you will know the power of truth!

When I was growing as a kid my grandfather used to tell me many ways to always be with truth & how simple is to be truthful to yourself. He also used to impress upon me the
effects of lying. And it made me brave enough to tell truth & not lie.

Now let us talk of our day-to-day life. Many of us tend to give false picture for many reasons depending on the situation that could be far from the actual reality. Yes it will fetch you short-term gains but remember your fall is only a matter of time. To hide this reality we end up lying, manipulating or even distorting the things. This causes the undue stress & our constructive energy is wasted for small short term gain.

Think of truth now. It is difficult to accept the reality but embrace it to know the might of truth. And actually when you will know reality is more near to you than the distant lie the change will start automatically.

I am truthful if not 100% but definitely more than 90% of time. And my rewards…endless. just to list few

1.Nice 8 hours of sleep.
2.Healthy personal & professional life.
3.Many well wishers & fewer enemies.
4.It made me brave enough to handle any difficult of life smiling.
5.And most important the reputation I got that nobody can buy.

Now it is your turn to make a choice. Let us try to be truthful in our life & also teach our children to be truthful & enjoy the life in its fullest.

INDIAN GYAN-SAY NO & BE HAPPY

Hi again

I know you are wondering on the title of this post. But please spare few moments & do the following simple exercise.

List down important things you did yesterday & write in front of each of them why you did that thing if you really wanted to do or if it was compulsion or even if it was to please some one else in your life.

Now you will see the reality. most of us in our day today life do 70% things for others & remaining 30% for self. When you do this tell me how you can be happy in reality.

Saying no is a great art & I recommend each one of us should learn this art. Next time if you don’t want do some thing please say no. initially you may feel little awkward but don’t worry.

Now slowly you will start finding the difference because you are living for yourself & obviously you are going to be a very happy human being. Once you are happy you will spread this happiness & make the world around you happy.
The other indirect benefits could be the improved quality of work you are doing as it is of your interests/liking.
My only caution could be you should know when to say no & how to say no without hurting the feelings of others.
Now I am sure next time you will try to say NO when you don’t want it…..

INNER PEACE

Hi every one,

in today's hectic life I come across many individuals who never had time to think about the Inner peace.they run behind so many trivial things & never get any kind of joy,peace or satisfaction.

i personally feel if we try to follow the few fundamental things in our day today life you are there to enjoy the Inner Peace & then see the change in you & people around you.....

I suggest you to start with these simple things...
1.Try to do good things to others.Never have ill feelings even for your enemies.
2.Don't compare yourself with any one.Because you are special & can not be compared with any one.
3.Talk less & listen more.this is the golden rule.
4.Use the words thank you & please whenever you can..
5.Be friends with good human beings.
6.have some time reserved for your self.
7.Remember money is not every thing.there are many other beautiful things in life.

Now let us try & follow these simple rules from now on & see if you can get the Inner Peace ........

greetings of 63 rd Independence day to all the fellow Indians around the globe.
today our Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh unfurled Tri Colour at Red For in an impressive ceremony and we all felt very proud for our nation India.

this year though we are facing many challenges like terrorism,draught,recession & of late the out burst of swine flue.but i am very sure that our leader Dr Manmohan Singh will sail us thru all these problems very soon.hope every one agrees with me.

while in last 62 years the independent India has come long way but we have still long way to move ahead.and i think each Indian can contribute some thing or other in this forward movement.i urge all of you to remember the supreme sacrifices of our defence forces,freedom fighters & salute these unsung heroes.

in today's global context i know the word respect is loosing its importance.it is very unfortunate to see how many youngsters treat their parents or seniors.i think it is mainly because today we are unable to understand the magic of gesture of respecting others.you don't know how much wealth of well wishers you are building by respecting others.

we in India are taught to respect elders by touching their feet & taking the blessings from them.and believe me these blessings are the most valuable asset of my life.you will see a ray happiness on the face of our elders when some respects them by getting up or touching feet.even if you show warmth in your talking or actions they will give smile worth million dollars.

when you respect others you know there are lots of your well wishers are around you & this makes you very special human being & you stand apart from the crowds.to us also this gives immense satisfaction.and hate will give you exactly opposite ....

by respecting others we are entering into very different world of satisfied people...

POWER OF POSITIVE ENERGY

Hi once again

i am not sure of many of you are really aware about your own energy signature.

its simple.. you feel very comfortable with some personalities whereas you try to avoid few.this mainly because type energies each of us carry if the energies are similar we get comfortable or dislike if the energy types are different.

the prime energies are namely positive & negative.obviously if you are person with positive energy you will be generally a class apart in every walk of life.you will be more successful in terms of the lay man.

the point is how to tap our positive energies ....the major source is positive thoughts .more the thoughts more the type of energy.other aids could be the books or friendship with successful people or our own self driven process.

in todays world it is very difficult due to the various pressures/stresses/problems we face & so it becomes essential to use our own positive energy.

try to focus on positive sides of every walk of the routine & just see the difference around you.

and also this could be your key to the fulfilling life.....

his only live show in India at Mumbai was a great great show & many of us became mad for mj.

his personal life though marred with many allegations which were hard to believe are now past & his soul will rest in peace.

today on monsoon weekend i thought to share with you the power of dreams.it is beginning of every success story which has a start from a dream take any success story you know...

it is once again the rain time & you all must be enjoying the delayed monsoon.the goan frogs known as the jumping chicken must be in demand once again.
this is the request to all of you from bottom of my heart to save this innocent animal & support the SAVE GOA FROG 2009 movement of Goan nature lovers.
just little refrain from our habits will help the Jumping Chicken to do its assigned work by nature which will benefit all of us.
i want all of you take these small steps to make this happen...

1.Don't eat the frog meat.no demand .......no killing.
2.if you find the frog poachers in the night try to persuade them against catching the frog.
3.if they don't listen inform the law enforcing agencies.
4.boycott the hotels serving the jumping chicken.
5.increase awareness in your village about the SAVE GOA FROG 2009 movement.

Let us take all of us a pledge to save the frog & support the SAVE GOA FROG 2009.

INDIA SHINING-PEOPLES VICTORY

Dear All

I am writing this post after long time & this mainly due to my tight work schedule and also i was not finding interesting to write.

The great Indian Parliamentary Elections which shows the world that how mature democracy we are & learn from us.

The election results gave thumping mandate to the ruling coalition UPA & very assuring clear cut vote in favour of Congress the oldest party of India.the results were shock to many parties.but over all the common voter voted for the stable government at centre in this time of economic crisis.

The youth of India voted in large number showing the young might & trailer of the days going to come ahead.

We all Indians are very happy over this result as this will definitely lead us to economic growth & prosperity.

TATA NANO-LAUNCH OF PEOPLES CAR

tomorrow 23 rd march 2009 is a very special day in the history of Indian Automotive Industry.

TATA motors is launching the peoples car TATA NANO tomorrow.

And we all Indians are anxiously waiting for this great moment.Its called peoples car as most of us in India can afford to own this masterpiece.

This Car is the brain child of the Chairman of TATA Group Mr Ratan Tata & it was his determination saw this project to reach the stage of launch today.Initially people laughed at him but he went ahead and proved the world wrong.

During he Global launch of this car recently The NANO became instant hit & the same is expected here in India too.TATA is expecting to book almost 1 million cars in 2 weeks which will be itself a very remarkable achievement.

GOA-LOOSING CHARM.....?

Hi once again

writing post after long time.the reason is obvious,i feel Goa is loosing its charm.

what ever may be reason be it global recession,infamous incidents or terrorists threats but all in all Goa is Turing out to be the biggest looser.

The recent response to glamorous Carnival was shocking.there were very few takers for the carnival.this years foreign tourist season is almost over with very poor response & things are not looking up beat for next year it is high time for all Goans to get up & take the corrective action.

if you delay now the Paradise of Goa will be a history.

I am also thinking to write on non Goa issues, if you agree please let me know.

GOA-GOA CRANIVAL

Hi everyone
The much awaited bugle is blown ...Get ,set & ready the rule of King Momo is once again back in Goa the tiny state of India famous for sun, sand & sea.now you can have all the fun & masti for which you were waiting.
the world famous & much awaited Goa Carnival 2009 will be flagged of on 21 st Feb in the capital city of Panaji.the margoa carnival parade will be followed next day on 22 nd Feb ,Vasco on 23 rd Feb & the final parade will be in Mapusa on 24 th Feb.
security will be the prime concern this year for the obvious reasons.and all the floats
participating in the parade will have to get clearance from the police .this is very good step taken by the police since lots of foreign & Indian tourists will be descending on Goa in next 2 weeks.
one good news for Indian tourists ...the Indian railways is offering good carnival packages from mumbai & Ahmadabad & trains will start on 20 th feb from both places.take advantage if you have not booked so far.

INDIA-60 TH REPUBLIC DAY

Hi again,

New Delhi ,Rajpath the spectacular parade saluting our Honourable President displaying our military might & cultural diversity to the world.Be careful we are India......

yes today we are celebrating our 60 th Republic Day here in India & its moment of pride for all of us.

Our Honourable President along with the Guest Of Honour THE honourable President of Kazakistan reached the Dias we all were thrilled.After hoisting the Tri colour flag high in the sky & the national anthem was sung.the prestigious gallantry awards of Ashok Chakra was awarded to the brave sons of the soil.the policemen who gave their lives fighting terror attacks on mumbai were decorated with this highest bravery award.

the spectacular parade was led by Lt Col Oberoi GOC Delhi.the marching contingent of Border Security Force stole the show while marching.

followed by the display of military power the tableau showing the cultural diversity marched Rajpath.i liked the Andhra Pradesh tableau.

the parade ended with spectacular display of air power of air force.
indeed a powerful show by our India.

GOA EXPLORED-WILD LIFE

Hi every one,
with the tourist season 2009 reaching the peak in Goa thought of exploring the rich wild life reserve of the tiny state of Goa famous for sun,sand & sea.we will take you to all the important wild life sanctuaries of Goa in next few weeks.

And let us begin our tour with Bondla Wild Life Sanctuary.
Just for your information let me tell you that Wild buffaloes are widely found in the Goan jungles.and the jungles of Bondla has lots of them waiting for you.

The Bondla Wild Life sanctuary is almost 80 kms from the capital city of Panaji.and you have to cross city of Ponda & when you reach there you are very close to the Karnataka Border.You will be welcome here by huge posters wild life of Goa & you will see the picture of Wild Buffaloes every where.

Park your car & you are there welcome to Bondla.start with elephant ride & you can visit the dense forests & also try your luck if you can spot some exotic animals ,birds or snakes.
after the ride go to the small zoo take time to see all the wild animals in the cages which are part of the Goan wild life.the moneys,snakes,wild buffaloes,wild cats,fox,cheetah, corcs all are there in the zoo & you can forget your busy life at least for some.
take a lunch break in between & continue your exploration for some time.
few cottages are also available in the jungle if you want spend the night with these friends from the jungles.you need to book the cottages with GTDCs offices in Panaji or Margoa or Ponda.
night stay here will take you to different world .don't miss that.
now its almost evening time & you have to think of leaving this beautiful world of jungles.

GOA-THE YEAR GONE BY 2008

Hi once again
greetings to you all from Goa.

in the year gone by Goa s famous characteristics sun,sand & sea were replaced by scams ,scandals & terror.and this change took heavy toll on Goa's tourism dependent economy,the foreign tourist count till Dec end was dropped by almost 18 %.

the infamous scams & scandals in the beginning of the year set tone for the time to come & finally the fear of terror washed away the party mood.all this resulted in subdued new year celebrations.we are not very sure of future to come in new year looking at the global recession.indeed this will be the testing time for the Goans.

i am not sure what the Govt is planning to do but at least every Goan should try to learn from the previous mistakes & move forward with positive frame of mind.
